Sculptures: Miniatures and More

This is a catalogue of my 3D work as I build my portfolio of concept sculptures, fine art works and horror miniatures. I work in standard waterbased clay and will be working in oilbased clay as well.

Cthulhu:

A work in progress using standard clay. Dimensions - W:35cm H:22cm D:32cm. This is created as a model for Halloween depicting my own take on H.P. Lovecraft's wonderful creation, Cthulhu. I have opted to create an additional entity; a parasite which has borrowed into the skull of the creature and mutated more gruesome tentacles as Cthulhu's black soul distorts its genetic makeup. More pictures to be added...

Horror Heads

These two heads are an exercise in the macabre and once again lend themselves as props for Halloween. Made from cared polystyrene skulls with a thin layer of waterbased clay molded on top. I love how the plastic melts in the oven as the clay cracks as it contracts. The final pieces are then painted with acrylic.

Art for 35mm

This sculpture of a small man was created in waterbased clay, ink, emulsion, wood (body frame) and second hand clothing. The model was then situated in my home and photographed in low light with expired colour 35mm film.
